Abbott Manufacturing Laboratory Technician in Witney, United Kingdom

Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings, and we have recently launched a new system that will revolutionise how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people’s lives.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Manufacturing Laboratory Technicians to join our operations teams, supporting the manufacture and assembly of components for our Medical Device products.

Working as part of a small team within a controlled environment, you will operate manufacturing and basic laboratory equipment, read and interpret vision systems, and conduct manufacture and assembly processes to ensure the consistent production of high-quality product. Through data interpretation, you will progress product through the manufacturing process, monitoring critical parameters and ensuring compliance of all parts and yield rates. In addition to this, you will inspect components, record results, and perform verification of data and documentation reviews as required.

The ideal candidate will bring experience of GMP and/or GLP, the ability to work with intricate parts, and will have excellent organisation and observational skills. You will be educated to Secondary level, and be PC literate. You will be a proactive individual who takes initiative, but also comfortable working in a highly-regulated environment. You will need to have good communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
