Senior Product and Application Manager

Static Mixers and Power (m/f)

Your tasks

You manage assigned products and global/strategic applications for Static Mixers and the Power Industry. You are responsible for the end to end management of the product lifecycle from concept until phasing out of the products. For this purpose, you communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and the business partners, develop trainings and sales support materials, perform product analysis, monitor the market and competitors and act as relationship management of key customers together with the sales, application and process managers.

Together with the Strategy and Business Development group (SBD) and the Task Force for Technology and Marketing for Mixers (TFTM-M), you identify new opportunities and extensions for the assigned product portfolio and facilitate the design as well as the development and launch of innovative products. Moreover, you actively contribute to design tools and are involved in presenting our products at fairs, in journals and other communication channels.

In addition, you maintain regular contact with licensors and main end customers for strategic application developments. Thus, you play also an active support role in important inquiries. You have the lead for these contacts, in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders. Key performance indicators are the quality and intensity of interaction in the global mixer community, global market share, hit rate, success stories as well as knowledge documents produced.

Your profile

This position requires a master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering with very good know-how about the assigned Sulzer Chemtech product portfolio and their markets. You are interested in working in an international environment, you are a team player, know how to prioritize your tasks and you have a strong sense of entrepreneurship. You like to interact with customers and people of different backgrounds and cultures. Fluency in English is required. Additional languages such as Mandarin, Spanish etc. are an advantage. International travel will be required.

Location

Preferred location is Winterthur (Zurich Region, Switzerland); other TMPI locations (Shanghai, Singapore, Tulsa in the United States) can, however, be discussed.
