Job Summary:

  1. Successfully assembling wood, cutting materials and roof trusses to specification,
  2. Responsible for pulling plates and stacking the finished products,
  3. Banding and marking the materials.
  4. Pushing/Pulling the product on carts to the appropriate areas.

* Essential Functions:*

  • Must be able to read and interpret work orders.
  • Must be able to read and interpret production schedules (typed, handwritten, or computer screen).
  • Knowledge of setting up and operating presses, nail guns, and other equipment.
  • Place cut material and plates per specification.
  • Connect plates with the use of a hammer and/or press.
  • Lift and stack products off lumber carts.
  • Complete continuous quality reviews.
  • Meet quality and accuracy requirements including dimensions, lumber grades, and building processes.

Requirements:

Perform daily stretches and flexes prior to starting job duties.

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area.

Report any equipment and product deficiencies to the lead.

Follow all established written and unwritten company procedures.
