Position Role Type:

This position will report to the Associate Director of Security, Interiors. You will be supporting the Security Control Officials (SCOs) at multiple sites and assisting them in all matters of security programs, policies, and requirements. You will also be supporting the development and advancement of the Interiors security strategy through project and initiative support. Additionally, you will work with the Collins Global Security team by supporting the implementation of applicable policies, procedures, and systems through the SCOs and Site leaders.The person in this role will provide security expertise, partnership, support, direction and, collaboration to assigned SCOs, sites, and leaders driving the implementation and advancement of required security programs, systems, training, and controls. This role will lead security reviews to identify security risk, threats, and vulnerabilities to the sites and support the SCOs and Site Leaders in development and implementation of mitigation plans. This person’s success will be impacted by their ability to partner, collaborate, and influence business leaders to protect and enable the Interiors business while empowering our employees through effective security programs, systems, education, partnership, and support.

This is an onsite role in Winston-Salem, NC.

What You Will Do:

  • Development of appropriate relationships, engagement, support, and partnerships with Site leaders, SCOs, and key business partners.

  • Acts as a Security business partner, strategic planner, trusted advisor, relationship builder, security champion.

  • Provide SCOs, site leadership, and business partners security expertise, support, partnership, and direction for implementation of security programs and in response to security incidents.

  • Conduct and/or support security assessments, reviews, and investigations and provide support to drive effective closure or resolution to action items, improvement plans or investigations.

  • Directly coach, partner, and advise SCOs, Leaders, and business partners on applicable security programs, risk, threats, and vulnerabilities.

  • Support and/or lead Security projects and assignments related to applicable security programs, policies, procedures, and requirements.

  • Support, manage, and engage with security service providers to support appropriate services at identified sites.

  • Support the enhancement and advancement of SCO’s capabilities and security knowledge and expertise.

  • Ability to influence others outside of your own area of accountability.

  • Communicates with both internal and external security service providers and resources.

  • Understand, assess, and develop mitigation plans for identified risks and/or drive compliance with RTX or Collins security program requirements.

  • Project work as assigned.

  • Estimated level of travel 15%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Understanding of security systems including access control, video, and intrusion detection.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Business Resilience Crisis Management program experience.

  • Regional Security program management experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

  • Experience developing, implementing, and sustaining security programs at the site and regional level.

  • Experience assessing site level risks, threats and vulnerabilities and developing appropriate remediation plans to mitigate at the appropriate level.

  • Experience supporting multiple sites in a matrixed organization.

  • Membership in Security Professional organizations.

  • Ability to communicate, partner, collaborate, and present to all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to multi-task, and work under pressure in time-sensitive situations.

  • Ability to manage projects of various scope.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
