WestRock Company Permanent Project Coordinator in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

The Opportunity

The Short Run Project Coordinator works closely with internal and external customers to facilitate the estimating, order processing, production management, assembly, distribution, and invoicing of orders routing through the Short Run Digital Production facility.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Estimate display production and assembly costs for materials to be manufactured in the Short Run Solution Center (SRSC) and communicate pricing to internal and external customers.

  • Recommend and procure materials to be used in the production of permanent and temporary display components.

  • Use the internal order management tools, systems, and applications to generate the required production data and work orders necessary to communicate material specifications and requirements to operations personnel producing the orders.

  • Work with internal and external customers and internal prepress resources to coordinate the setup and proofing of digital art files when necessary.

  • Help manage customer delivery expectations based on scheduled lead times of orders routed through the SRSC.

  • Generate the necessary system ship orders to provide the warehousing and logistics teams with the information that they need to facilitate customer shipments on time and in full.

  • Create sales orders and invoices used to bill internal and external customers for the materials and services being provided by the SRSC.

  • Work with internal and external customers and operations personnel to manage finished goods and material inventory.

  • Coordinate the outsourced production of orders when required.

  • Order required display components and materials from third party approved suppliers when required.

  • Actively participate in the introduction of new technology and system integration when appropriate.

  • Other duties as required

What you need to succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED minimum; 4-year degree preferred or at least 2 to 4 years print production or display manufacturing industry experience

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to prioritize tasks

  • Customer service, corrugated, and/or printing and packaging display experience preferred

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external partners

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to follow up, inform, and negotiate solutions via e-mail, phone, and in person.
