Responsibilities:

  • Planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment.

  • Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions.

  • Communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly.

M-F - 2pm - 10:30pm (Overtime available) Manufacturing plant located in Winston Salem NC.

What your background should look like:

  • High School Diploma required with a combined 3 years experience OR A.A degree in Machining Technology

  • Having served a 4-year tool making apprenticeship preferred

  • Proficiency in Milling, Turning, Heat Treat of Tool steels, Surface Grinding.

  • Proficient in setup and programming of Wire EDM, Profile Grinding, and Sinker EDM.

  • Reads & interprets product blue prints, including geometric tolerance notations.

  • Use items such as micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, go/no go gages and any other measuring instruments, as required.

  • Ability to program, operate, and measure using metric system required

  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM required

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $48,080 – $72,120 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
