Description RN Hospice 0.3 FTE 24 Hours a Pay Period 6:30 am to 10 pm Every Other Weekend/Holiday Position Overview: A registered nurse (RN) is a health care professional skilled in all phases of the nursing process. Delivery of care is directed toward education, promotion, and restoration of health; prevention of disease; and care of the sick and disabled. He/she is adaptable to the needs of the individual and family during health and illness and has the ability to prioritize. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates daily patient care, and is responsible for the direction of staff members assigned to him/her. The RN is responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to patients receiving Hospice interventions. This position may include other duties as assigned. Required to collect, interpret, record and communicate pertinent data that is relevant to the patient s care through client interview, observation, review of records and consultation with other members of the health care team.
