Need 6 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers/Laborers to work in Winnebago, MN. From: 03/15/2024 to 11/30/2024 Work: 54 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 9 hrs./day, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Workers may be requested to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, and the Sabbath depending on crop conditions and need. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 07/24/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Workers will perform any of the following duties: prepare soil and cultivate sod grass lawns, haul and spread topsoil, and fertilize the fields. Workers will also dig, rake, and screen soil before seeding. Cut/mow the established grass. Seed with either seeders pulled by agricultural equipment like farm tractors or by hand; spray and weed the sod grass lawns. Seed, and erosion control materials. Maintain farm equipment, load sod onto trailers and drive truck to deliver to customers. Must have the ability to operate the sowing, mowing, cutting equipment. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. Workers will have a 30-minute meal break. Crops: sod JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience. Employment reference. Able to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. Workers with clean driving records may be required to obtain either a Class D or Class B driver's license. Possible random drug testing post hire at employer's expense. No high school diploma or GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
