Aerotek Structures Technician in Windsor Locks, Connecticut

Job Title: Structures Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structures Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in performing structures work on military fixed-wing, corporate aircraft, or CRJs. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal mechanics for corporate aircraft and must possess a basic set of hand tools. Responsibilities include removing and installing aircraft components, fabricating aircraft parts and ground support equipment, and performing structural modifications. You will work closely with avionics technicians on complex modifications and upgrades. A&P license is preferred but not required. Willingness to work overtime is a plus.

Hard Skills

  • Sheet metal/composite SC tech school or equivalent experience

  • Blueprint reading

  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and manuals

  • Fabrication of sheet metal and/or composite components

  • Troubleshooting and repairing aircraft deficiencies

  • Proficient operation of basic sheet metal support equipment

Work Environment

The candidates will be working in an indoor, clean, corporate business jet repair facility with two hangers. Professionalism, cleanliness, and safety are critical as customers are regularly present with their aircraft. Teams of 8-10 mechanics work under one lead, with a total of about 10-12 leads reporting to a PM.
