Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology is hiring a Pr. Systems Administrator for our PWE team. Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business. This position is 100% onsite with potential for up to 10% travel. The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. The ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance is required for this position.

What YOU will do:

  • You will work with High Performance Cluster (HPC) administration, such as HPC Managing Job Submissions, Programming Support, HPE Support Case Logging, Tracking, and Escalation.

  • You will install, configure, and update of HPC workload management software (PBS/LSF)

  • You will prepare & create patches / upgrade media following Government Security team (GSC) procedure. Work with Collins GSC on media verification and software to load on system.

  • You will troubleshoot program lab environments.

  • You will manage software license tracking, renewals, and assist with troubleshooting.

  • You will foster relationships with your DT peers all over the world that work and WANT to work at Collins.

  • You will enhance your technical and professional skills, becoming a proficient Linux Administrator.

Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • Basic network administration, VLAN creation, switch upgrades

  • System hardening/auditing against industry baselines such as CIS, DISA STIGs, NIST, etc

  • Experience administering HPC components, such as SLES, HPE Performance Cluster Manager, HPE Performance MPI, iLO advanced, Mellanox UFM licenses, PBS Pro Job Scheduler

  • Experience administering Linux operating systems. (e.g. Red Hat, CentOS, etc.)

  • Knowledge or experience with virtualization platforms and technologies. (VMware)

Skills We Value:

  • Familiarity with Windows PowerShell, SQL, or shell scripting languages. (e.g. bash, Python, Perl, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Storage Area Networks (iSCSI or Fibre Channel) or Network Attached Storage. (NFS, SMB)

  • Experience with small to medium network design and implementation.

  • Familiarity with Cisco network device administration. (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM, MDT, WDS and WSUS servers.

  • Professional certification(s). (CompTIA Security+, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Communications Security (COMSEC)

  • Experience with networking concepts, OSI model, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and VLANs.

  • Experience with basic cybersecurity concepts and vulnerability management.

  • Experience with hardening per NISPOM, RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-x, etc.

  • Familiarity working within an air-gap secure environment.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
