Aerotek Aircraft Engine Mechanic in Windsor Locks, Connecticut

Aerotek Aviation is looking for qualified aircraft engine mechanics to join one of the leading Aerospace companies in Windsor Locks, CT We are offering competitive pay, flexible shifts, and full benefits.

Job Title: Aircraft Engine Mechanic -6 month contract to hire

Location: Windsor Locks, CT

Pay Rate: $30-$48hr

Shift: All ( must be flexible)

Description:

The Engine Technician troubleshoots, performs maintenance, and repairs aircraft engines and related aircraft components.

• Adhere to General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)

• Comply with Environmental / Health / Safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on engines and related aircraft problems

• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

• Remove / install / replace aircraft engines and accessories

• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

• Assist with performing complete engine runs

• Operate ground support equipment

• Assist with off-aircraft component repair

• Perform mechanical/ electrical removals and installations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• You have an Airframe & Powerplant Certificate

• You have 0 – 2+ years aircraft maintenance and repair, or substantiated equivalent experience

• You have previous experience in A/C turbine engine maintenance

• You can interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

• You can effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on aircraft status

• You have previous experience on either corporate or commercial jet aircraft (preferred)

• Tug qualified (preferred)

• Forklift qualified (preferred)

• Ground Support Equipment qualified (preferred)

• Basic PC skills
