Eaton Corporation Team Lead- 1st Shift (MVA Wiring) in Wilsonville, Oregon

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Team Lead- 1st Shift (MVA Wiring).

Shift Hours: 6am - 3pm Monday - Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours, and can be mandatory at times.

The hourly rate for this position is $26-$27 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The team lead provides manufacturing expertise, support, and direction in their assigned area. The team lead assists the VSM in the coordination, facilitation, and motivation of the activities of all assigned employees to meet or exceed established High-5 metrics and goals including safety, quality, delivery, cost, lean and efficiency. Lead by example in areas such as safety, ethical standards, attendance, intensity, sense of urgency, team philosophy, initiative, quality assurance, standard work, 5-S, product knowledge, positive attitude, interpersonal communication skills and professional presence.

In this function you will:

  • Schedule the area

  • Maintain area specific Gantt Charts and other scheduling tools

  • Work with other leads on the line to flex labor as needed

  • Conduct area Tier 1 meetings

  • Train and assist others in the area when they run the Tier 1 meetings

  • Update Tier boards

  • Work with engineering, supply chain, and PLC to resolve interrupters

  • Work with engineering to resolve drawing issues and discrepancies

  • Maintain quality in area

  • Perform required quality checks

  • Help assist with any rework and drive team for larger rework projects

  • Train and develop a team consisting of the wiring and Motor Control Center lines, in areas such as area- related skills, %S+, safety observations, and Kanban

  • Utilize Leader Standard Work (LSW) for daily activities

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution

• Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Wilsonville, OR (Active duty military exempt from the geographical requirement)

• Experience using Microsoft Excel

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a production or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading a team

• 3 or more years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Position Criteria:

• Ability to address and resolve problems with minimal supervision.

• Ability to develop team and positively influence team morale

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel for data and metric reporting

• Must be able to communicate clearly and give direction to team.

• Must understand Gantt Charts and Production Scheduling processes.

• Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, schematics, bills of material, change notices,

• Understand KANBAN and inventory allocation systems.

• Familiarity with quality control systems and reports.
