Description The registered nurse of the emergency department assesses all patients who present for treatment, provides treatment through established nursing practice and as ordered by a provider, re-assesses patients and plans for their ongoing care which may include discharge, admission or transfer. The RN is involved in process improvement and department tasks as requested by department leadership.
