Description What we do: Air Transport International (ATI) is an experienced supplemental carrier with the ability to reach across the globe. ATI is an FAR Part 121 charter airline headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio, and operates a worldwide fleet of Boeing 757 and 767 cargo and combi passenger aircraft. ATI specializes in freight forwarding, government and military contracts. ATI is a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. Purpose: Crew Planning establishes crew coverage for all scheduled flight assignments in accordance with applicable FARs and within the guidelines established by two collective bargaining agreements. The objective of the Manager of Crew Planning is to ensure the planning department provides efficient staffing models, effective crew flows, and financial modeling to meet customer needs and business objectives. Job Functions: * Coordinate customer schedules, schedule changes, and adhoc additions. Coordinate with impacted stakeholders and provide cost mitigation solutions. * Optimize bid packages and facilitate the bid process with all stakeholders. * Oversee the bid resolution process, reserve utilization, evaluate open time, crew compression, and minimize overtime pay. * Manage and develop team members for growth and advancement. * Track costs associated with schedule changes, labor releases, training disruptions, and coordinate invoices with Finance. * Monitor the effectiveness of bid packages with planned vs. actual metrics. Identify trends and provide suggestions to management for continuous improvement. * Assisting the Director of Crew Resources in his/her duties and to act on their behalf during times of his/her absence. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: * Associate Degree or the equivalent in training and experience. * Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check. * Must maintain expert knowledge of applicable FAR(s) and ability to apply collective bargaining agreements in a planning setting. Familiarity with aviation weather, airport operations, and contingency planning. * Must have strong attention to detail, multitasking ability and must be capable of working independently or within a team. Must have the desire to see projects through completion. * Ability to manage, prioritize, and make decisions with multiple competing variables and priorities. * Must be customer service driven, have sound judgment, financial awareness, analytical aptitude, and problem-solving skills. * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with crewmembers, internal departments, and management. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and ability to gain Key User knowledge with aviation specific software. * Ability to comply with all company and department policy and procedures.
