Description Job Functions: Designing and developing curriculum, learning materials, and performance support tools (including self-study, classroom, eLearning, etc.) based on industry design standards for a given modality (includes traditional classroom training, web-based, training videos, and virtual training design) Provide quality ground school instruction to pilots and other designated groups in Flight Operations in required and company selected elements while always ensuring a positive learning environment and professional demeanor. The pilot instruction should incorporate scenario-based training to the extent possible. Work with Manager of Operations Training, Manager of Standards and other GIs to continually improve the training product and experience to various groups of students. Work with IT to ensure all electronic equipment is operating properly and to make improvements in hardware. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years flight instruction or ground instruction experience at a Part 121 or Part 135 Air Carrier Proven proficiency in training, communication and presentation skills including development of presentation and training materials Working knowledge of: CBT, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to multitask, and ability to balance multiple competing objectives. High School Diploma Ability to work various shifts and weekends if necessary Ability to work independently with little direction but collaborate with internal and external parties. Preferred Job Skills: Bachelor's degree Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating or Ground Instructor Certificate (AGI) with an Instrument rating or prior experience. Acceptable prior experience includes military pilot/flight engineer instructor or pilot/flight engineer instructor in a Part 142, 135 or 121 operations. Airline transport aircraft flight or ground training experience. Airframe and powerplant mechanic's license. Physical Requirements: Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
