Description The Manager of Maintenance Control will manage the Maintenance Control Department, ensuring a high level of aircraft dispatch reliability and ABX system integrity; provide overall direction, communication and control for the maintenance/engineering division for all out-of -service aircraft, aircraft accidents/incidents, maintenance delays/cancellations, air returns/diversions due to mechanical problems and other maintenance irregularities; provide notification to maintenance executive staff and prepare reports for all irregularities/accidents/incidents, etc.; responsible for authorizing deferral of inoperative aircraft equipment in accordance with the FAA MEL/CDL requirements; responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and safe operation of all ABX aircraft system wide. Requirements: High School Diploma/GED A & P license Eight (8) years experience in the maintenance of heavy transport aircraft of which 2 years were as a maintenance controller or supervisor in a line maintenance environment Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Very good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with ABX network, Word, Excel, Focus Comprehensive knowledge of Maintenance Control aircraft systems and ABX operations Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and ABX Maintenance Control procedures and processes Ability to travel Preferred Skills: Prefer ABX Maintenance Control or ABX Line Maintenance Management experience 3 years experience on type aircraft operated by ABX Qualifications Licenses & Certifications Aircraft maint duties (preferred) Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
