Position Summary:

The primary function of the Field Operations Supervisor is to plan, coordinate and manage the daily activities led by the operations department. The Operations Supervisor must successfully adhere to the organization's levels of service and values while maintaining open and clear lines of communication with customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the financial operations of volume-buy and selling, profit margins, and P and L statements.
  • Identify and coordinate daily activities of all team members; inspire your team to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge.
  • Ensure performance plans are set, maintained, and continuously improved; generate creative solutions to identify improvements in processes.
  • Monitor delivery of materials from other yards to coordinate with agreed upon "Drop Dead" time.
  • Oversee that all delivery and warehouse personnel adhere to OSHA and GMS policies while working in the warehouse and at the jobsite.
  • Perform weekly and monthly GMS management safety reviews.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of warehouse and yard areas.
  • Maintain level of service requirements throughout the process.
  • Resolves customer complaints about service delivery and product quality.
  • Prepares yard's annual budget and operating objectives.
  • Responsible for yard security.
  • Ensures trucks and team members are scheduled appropriately.

  • Direct, oversee, and evaluate Infrastructure strategic planning, goals, objectives, and operating procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, ever changing environment and make quick decisions
  • Knowledge of building materials and experience in the construction industry is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 50% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office and warehouse environment.

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative.
