Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Registered Nurse functions as member of a clinical team in the provision of health care in a fast-paced college health center. Responsibilities include obtaining pertinent medical information during check-in; educating patients; providing care and treatment to patients consistent with nursing practice and theory; and administering vaccinations and performing basic laboratory tests. Must demonstrate the ability to accurately assess a patient's medical problem. May assume a lead role in the clinic whenever necessary.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and patient care
  • Must demonstrate the ability to accurately assess a patient and perform clinical skills including administering medications and immunizations, drawing blood, starting IVs and performing
