About our Cardiac II Unit :

Our unit is built on a foundation of43 beds,teamwork,and family focus, creating a tight-knit community where everyone is supported. We prioritize professional growth and haveestablisheda clear path for career development, ensuring that each team member can flourish.Additionally, we offer a transition program from step-down to ICU, providing a seamless pathway for nursesseekingto expand their skills andexpertise.Our nurse-to-patient ratios are 5:1 for General patient care and 4:1 for Chemotherapy patients.If you are a compassionate individual who values teamwork, growth, and providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this position. Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor'sdegree in nursing.

  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Associationisrequired.

  • One-yearof acute nursing experienceisrequired.

Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing assessments to gather data andidentifythe patient’s needs for this episode of care per ANA standards and NCBON.

  • Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.

  • Develop and implement an individualizednursing care planwith the patient and family that will address the patient’s and family’s identified needs and concerns.

  • Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care andfacilitatingpatient outcomes.

  • Implements and evaluates the patient’s response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.

  • Provides care based on established standards of practice,policies,and protocols.
