Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver processes as part of a manufacturing engineering team
Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment
Program CNC machines, automated processes, and robotics
Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
Work together with business leadership (business leaders, plant leaders, etc.)
Specify needs, communicate about project approach, and present outcomes of research done
Work directly with production employees and on cross functional teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience) + a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of automated edge contour process (vibratory, slurry, robots, etc.)
Program experience with milled, turned, shaped, and ground features
Must have knowledge relating to edge contour criteria
Robotic edge contour experience
Previous experience as a process engineer producing rotating parts for jet engines
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
