Williams Fire Sprinkler Co Inc. Fire Sprinkler Installation/Service Helper in Wilmington, North Carolina

WFSC is a progressive fire protection/security contractor that has been providing design, installation and service of systems throughout North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina, since 1972. Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of your supervisor.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Must be eager to learn to read, understand and follow blueprints.

  • Must be able to know and learn NFPA codes related to installation

  • Ability to learn to assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment.

  • Ability to learn to attach pipes to walls and structures using brackets, clamps and tools,

  • Ability to assist in Inspecting, examining and testing installed systems using pressures gauges, observation and other various other methods.

  • Heavy physical demands are required with this job as it requires pulling and lifting heavy weighted materials and equipment.

  • Will regularly work on ladders to heights of up to 20' as well as work on lifts and scaffolding as high as 80'.

  • This job requires wearing of proper P.P.E. as well as having the ability to quickly and clearly evaluate and exchange detailed information and instructions.

    Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for servicing and installing Fire Sprinkler System according to applicable NFPA codes.

  • Must know how to operate power threaders and groovers, cutting tools, power lifts and hand tools

  • Must have the drive to keep jobs on or ahead of schedule.

  • Have the ability to proficiently lead a crew.

    Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have excellent communication skills, and effective customer service skills.

  • Applicant must be drug free.

  • Reliable means of transportation

  • License not required as you will be with a foreman, however clean driving record/ license preferred, (reliable means of transportation to meet in common area with supervisor daily required)

  • Experience in the construction, plumbing or fire protection industry is a plus.
