Job Description:

Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.

Essential Functions:

  • Program and operate the Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to inspect and validate parts according to specified criteria.

  • Conduct receiving inspection transactions in RIDs, reviewing material certs, and completing inspection reports

  • Analyze measurement results and provide comprehensive reports to engineering and manufacturing teams.

  • Work closely with the program team to ensure quality standards are consistently met and maintained.

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continually improve quality processes and standards.

  • Train and guide junior staff or operators in CMM operations, if necessary.

    Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Proficiency in using CMM software, preferably Zeiss CALYPSO or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Keyence machines

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Certification in CMM programming.

  • Familiarity with other inspection tools and methodologies.
