DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Build AWS Components using terraform so that the application can be built and deployed in a consistent and dependable manner. Build and Deploy Applications on AWS using industry wide standards of test driven development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Build a high performance real-time streaming application that will be used by customers to move events from on-premises to AWS Public Cloud. Build a high performance data migration application that will be used by customers to move their big data assets from on-premises to AWS Public Cloud. Troubleshoot Operations Issues, Performance Issues, Capacity Issues and in the real-time streaming application built by the team. Troubleshoot Operations Issues, Performance Issues, Capacity Issues and in the data migration application built and managed by the team. Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions that break down technical problems. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development standards. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Linux; Unix; Agile SDLC; Big Data Disciplines; Microservices; Docker; Python; JavaScript; SQL; NoSQL; Spark; AWS Cloud Services; GIT; Java; Unit Testing; User Acceptance Testing.

Job Location: 880 Powder Mill Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
