M&T Bank ICS Relationship Manager III in Wilmington, Delaware

Overview:

Provides relationship management oversight of assigned institutional client accounts with an established or new book of business. Working in a team environment, provides account specific administration and client services to support the business, concentrating on quality and accuracy of daily work and superior relationship management, while minimizing risk. Works with management team and Client Development to grow the business. Provides guidance, mentoring and training to less experienced personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Approve activity for processing in a timely and accurate manner and based on client directives.

  • Respond to and/or annotate compliance reports for assigned accounts or team; ensure proper action is taken to resolve outstanding matters.

  • Oversee submission and approval of the team’s annual account reviews to ensure timely completion.

  • Serve as primary/secondary contact for assigned/coverage team accounts as well as retirement plan participants and pensioners. Resolve complex matters and inquiries, adhering to established Division, client and alliance service standards. Provide guidance to less experienced personnel in resolving basic and complex matters as needed.

  • Maintain client communications on regulatory, legal, accounting and trust matters.

  • Oversee and complete team and individual client billing and resolve aged receivables for client accounts.

  • Remain current on industry trends, the competitive environment and regulatory items.

  • Partner with Client Development to look for cross-selling and growth opportunities with assigned clients.

  • Identify automation and streamlining opportunities to increase efficiency in activities.

  • Direct, mentor and/or monitor less experienced personnel on the client processing function.

  • Participate in departmental projects and corporate initiatives as requested.

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience

Strong level of proficiency in use of personal computers and pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $79,184.45 - $131,974.08 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
