M&T Bank GCM Centralized Operations Specialist in Wilmington, Delaware
Overview:
Completes multiple task-oriented operational duties of varying difficulty and urgency required on a daily basis to ensure payment needs of Global Capital Markets clients are processed accurately.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process routine and standard payments transactions according to established procedures to ensure accuracy.
Communicate with internal business partners and related service partners as required.
Manage all European payments for GCM Correspondence and European business; foreign currency bank accounts
Escalate non-standard or high risk exceptions to more experienced personnel as appropriate.
Prioritize and manage own workload to meet service level agreements and internal service delivery standards.
Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities to management.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
Combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience
Comfortable operating in a team environment
Experience with payments, especially international payments (Foreign Exchange), is highly desirable
Experience using pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software
Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in financial services industry
Basic understanding of financial products
Knowledge of pertinent Bank systems
Ability to work under time constraints
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $23.04 - $38.40 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
