Description:

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Full-time Medical Assistant to join the team at our Family Practice!

This person will assist in direct patient care under supervision of physician.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Accurately records patient's chief complaint

  • Demonstrates ability to perform hearing and vision screens, EKG's, obtain peak flows, blood draws, and collect various specimens correctly.

  • Daily records freezer and refrigerator logs.

  • Reports any problems immediately to Manager.

  • Daily stocks exam rooms, Discards and replaces outdated medical supplies.

  • Maintains order and cleanliness in exam rooms, storage areas and lab area.

  • Daily assures proper and timely transport of all lab specimens by appropriate couriers.

  • Performs CLIA testing quality assurance measures according to protocol.

  • Correctly prepares bio-hazardous waste for transport.

  • Accurately records patient's chief complaint, Preps patient charts the day before.

  • Assist physician with minor office procedures.

  • Able to perform injections and vaccinations for all age groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate required

  • MA Certificate required

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred

  • Must have excellent communication skills, able to read and write.

  • Must have great organization skills.

  • Must be able to work well with others
