An opportunity has opened for an Engineering Lead to join Raytheon Australia's ADATS program. Reporting to the ADATS Engineering Manager, the Engineering Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership for design and non-design changes, including requirements, design, verification, and validation support for all assigned sustainment tasks.

The Engineering Lead will utilise their expertise in all Engineering lifecycle phases of their Engineering tasks, taking cognisance of cost and schedule constraints whilst ensuring adherence to engineering processes set down by the company.

The role has a strong Electrical/Systems Engineering focus, however applicants from other Engineering disciplines with Systems Engineering skills are encouraged to apply. As an Engineering Lead for the ADATS program, your responsibilities include: -

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Engineering Lead’s team.

  • Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in executing team tasks.

  • Manage team’s task allocations and utilisations.

  • Develop, review, and approve engineering tasks, ensuring compliance with company processes and standards.

  • Collaborate across program teams and stakeholders to resolve complex system issues.

  • Perform system sustainment, design, and technical investigation activities.

  • Provide engineering estimates and inputs for developing Task Proposals.

  • Maintain publications, drawings, parts-lists, and produce logistic artefacts.

  • Provide regular status updates on team’s tasks.

To excel in this role, you should have: -

  • University Degree in an Engineering discipline (with a significant component of Electrical Engineering).

  • Minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.

  • Minimum tertiary qualifications and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as a chartered professional Engineer.
