Job Summary: Carpinello\'s Service Center is a family owned and operated, full service automotive repair shop seeking an Automotive Technician to join the team! The Automotive technician hired is required to perform all routine maintenance services, recommend the recommended factory services per each Make and Model vehicle, diagnose issues thoroughly, perform diagnostic testing(i.e. Scan Tool, Smog Machine, A/C Machine, Multimeter Tool), Engine repairs and replacements, transmission repairs and replacements, perform a thorough detailed inspection of the vehicle with recommended maintenance or repairs that need to be done, and they also need to be familiar with smart devices(i.e. Smartphone, Android Tablet, or iPad). Responsibilities: - Use diagnostic tools and technology to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles. - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and tune-ups. - Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components. - Replace or repair worn-out or damaged parts to restore vehicle functionality. - Conduct tests on repaired vehicles to ensure proper functionality and safety standards. - Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed. - Communicate effectively with customers, explaining issues and repairs in a clear and understandable manner. - Adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies. Requirements: - Must have valid driver\'s license. - 3+ years\' experience in automotive repair shop - Must be proficient in reading, writing, and computer skills. - Must be able to accept corrective criticism. - Must know how to operate a full scan tool and be able to perform diagnostic testing on the scan tool, operate an Air Conditioning Service Machine, front wheel alignment machine, ASE certified is preferred but not a necessary requirement, licensed Massachusetts State Inspector is preferred but not required. - Proficient knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic tools. - Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex vehicle issues. - Meticulous approach to inspections and repairs to ensure accuracy. - Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions for extended periods. - Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers. - Capacity to adapt to new technologies and advancements in automotive systems. *This position requires employees to provide their own tools and toolbox.
