GeoStabilization International Heavy Equipment Transport Driver / Technician in Williamstown, Kentucky

Overview

TheEquipment Transport Driver / Technicianis responsible for the on-demand delivery of materials, equipment, and parts to jobsites. In addition, this position will assist with maintaining trucks, trailers, and equipment ensuring all are in job ready condition.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Drive company provided truck and trailer to deliver materials and equipment to jobsites.

  • Perform repairs and routine maintenance on trucks and trailers such as replacing deck boards, changing tires, repairing/replacing components.

  • Performs minor repairs on equipment as needed.

  • Responsible for moving and organizing equipment, trucks, and materials in the yard.

  • Ensure equipment and materials are stored in the appropriate locations and areas are free of trash and debris.

  • Assists with equipment parts inventory and stocking.

  • Handles check in and check out process of equipment and accurately documents equipment availability and status.

  • Prepares equipment for transportation to jobsites.

  • Maintain and keep records of repairs to equipment and trailers.

  • Loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing equipment and materials and staging of those items.

    Qualifications

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices.

  • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem-solving ability

  • Ability to think outside the box and to have and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Successful experience in customer centric organizations

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Organization, accuracy, great communication skills and attention to detail

  • A sense of urgency and being able to complete tasks before moving to another is a must in this position.

    REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Ability to operate forklift and telehandler safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to learn to operate all equipment to load, unload, and relocate it as necessary.

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate an excavator and skid steer.

  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to be on site daily in Williamstown, KY

  • Must have a current driver’s license.

  • Ability to obtain a Class A CDL license.

  • Ability to be on call, work beyond regularly scheduled hours, including working overtime as needed.

  • 25% Travel
