MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Current LPN/LVN licensure in the State of West Virginia. Current BLS certification. Successful completion of an IV therapy and phlebotomy course. Successful completion of arrhythmia course. _EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required. _PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Completes annual educational requirement. Maintains regulatory requirements. Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time. Wears identification while on duty; uses computerized punch time system correctly. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Professional Requirements: Completes in services and returns in a timely fashion. Attends annual review and department in services, as scheduled. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department. __NATURE OF WORK: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the ambulatory care setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and ambulatory care policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patients clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
