MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Current BCLS certificate. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have typing, computer and related skills. Must have the ability to carry on many functions in an organized manner at the same time, e.g., answer phones, schedule exams, give verbal reports, and create necessary paperwork. _EXPERIENCE: Previous experience preferred, but not required. _PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Completes annual education requirements. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time. Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized punch time system correctly. Attends annual review and department inservices, as scheduled. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department. __NATURE OF WORK: Acts as receptionist to outpatients and physicians coming into the department. Relieves the radiologic technologists of such clerical duties as typing forms, filing, logging daily patient encounters, mailing of reports, and disposition of films when required by physicians or insurance companies. Greets outpatients, sets up their appointments and gives patients the proper outpatient examination prep forms.
