2 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 09/01/2024- 10/10/2024.

Summer Prune trees, Harvest apples, Orchard maintenance, Apple harvest, Trimming trees, Bin repair, Hand thinning, Planting trees, Picking up roots & rocks. Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license.

Workers are expected to work the number of days and hours specified. Depending on weather, crop or other conditions, workers may be requested, but not required to work up to seven days per week and/or on the Sabbath and will be paid overtime accordingly. Employer will furnish workers, without cost, all the tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable clothes. While working in the field, phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Due to health & safety reasons on our farm, workers must understand basic instruction in English or Spanish.

Apples injured by bruising during picking shall not exceed 1% (WNY) for fresh and 1% (WNY) for processing as defined in the U.S. standard for grades. Productivity must be at least 4-20 bushel bins fresh market and/or 6-20 bushel bins processing fruit per day. Workers must have experience working at piece rate production and must have experience in working with farm sanitary and safety practices as required in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)plans. Workers should report for work with their own suitable work clothing.

Field temperatures may range from 0to 90+ degrees (F) with possible wet morning conditions Due to health and safety concerns relating to pesticide application and the operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to comprehend simple oral instructions in English. Must be physically able to lift up to 75 pounds *Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 3 months experience in performing tasks described in this order.Field temperatures may range from 0 to 90+ degrees (F) with possible wet morning conditions Due to health and safety concerns relating to pesticide application and the operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to comprehend simple oral instructions in English.
