Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. Service Electrical Project Foreman in Williamsburg, Virginia

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Service Project Foreman located in the Williamsburg, VA area. As a Electrical Service Project Foreman, you will be responsible for managing all on site activities during job construction. This includes safety, supervision, schedules and daily activities. A foreman is also responsible to effectively communicate with Project Manager, General Contractor, and Owner .

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently oversee projects up to $250,000 with crew size of 2-4 men

  • Exceptional leadership skills, commitment, dedication, patience and thorough knowledge of their trade is key

  • Receive, read, and become familiar with copy of job specifications, blueprints , and job contract; know all contract and code requirements for that particular project

  • Consistently and regularly plan the installation in strict conformance with contract requirements and in accordance with company procedures .

  • Ensure that job is done per specifications and design from Project Manager or Project Engineer

  • Provide a safe jobsite for you and your crew to work. 

  • Complete all required paperwork or forms on the jobsite and return to the appropriate person (s)

  • Must be willing to travel ; a valid driver's license and clea r MVR are a must .

  • Perform other related duties when requested by Department Manager or Project Managers.

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, at least 2 years of job site management. Completion of electrical apprenticeship preferred.

  • EMT/GRC/PVC conduit installation proficiency

  • Ability to install branch and feeder circuitry

  • Accurate layout of inwall & lighting

  • Experience with newer lighting systems and with gear installation/termination

  • Usage of hands to handle or control tools or equipment as well as the ability to perform repetitive overhead tasks

  • Work outdoors, exposed to weather, e xposure to loud sounds and high noise levels, w ork in high locations, c limb ladders and/or scaffolding

  • Work in cramped, awkward and/or confined spaces; Ability to kneel, bend, crouch, or stoop for prolonged periods of time

  • Basic skills with operating a laptop and/or iPad ; h ave a general knowledge of job site software including BlueBeam , Naviswork , Smartsheet
