Amentum Security Operation Dispatcher in Williamsburg, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Security Operation Dispatcher located in the Williamsburg area of Virgina. The Dispatch position is a 24 hour a day, 7 day per week, 365 days a year presence to include weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements:

  • Operate two-way radio communication equipment and telephone consoles to receive incoming calls for assistance and will dispatch police, fire, medical, and other personnel and equipment to scene of emergency or location of personnel requiring assistance.

  • Following established guidelines by interviewing a caller to determine the nature and type of problem, the number of personnel and equipment needed, and scan status charts and computer screen to determine units available.

  • May be required to provide instructions to the caller, utilizing knowledge of emergency medical techniques prior to the arrival of First Responders.

  • Monitors alarm system signals that indicate the location of fire or other emergency and be able to accurately dispatch responding units.

  • Input commands on a computer keyboard to update files and maintain logs, test communications, and alarm equipment and backup systems to ensure serviceability.

  • Maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures in coordination with site Security Office, creation of Daily Tour of Duty report, perform ad hoc administrative support to site Security and Emergency Services Office, route calls to business areas, issue hotel room keys if lost or misplaced by visitors and log and issue master keys to authorized personnel for various locations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Communication skills

  • Multitasking

  • ability to handle stressful situations

  • Government issued clearance at time of application
