Northern Cochise Community Hospital (NCCH) is a Critical Access Hospitalwith two rural health clinicslooking to fill aPRN or Part-TimePhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position.

Flexible Schedule

Summary:

  • Functions as thePhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a team and mission-based setting to provide assistant to the Physical Therapist with related activities and direct patient care for in-patients and out-patients of a (small) Critical Access Hospital (CAH) at Northern Cochise Community Hospital (NCCH).
  • PTA provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. PTA must project a professional appearance and be well organized with strong critical thinking skills. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  • This position requires a commitment to teamwork, collaboration and department scheduling needs i.e. good attendance, attitude, customer services, communication skills, timely deadlines, etc.,

Supervision Required:

  • Works under the direct supervision of theRehabilitation Services Manager/Physical Therapist (RSM/PT)or designated administrator.

Special Conditions:

  • Position is subject to Safety Sensitive Standards / Drug Free Workplace / Vaccination Requirements.

Education and/or Experience:

Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistants Program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Certificates, Licenses, Registration\'s

  • Currentunrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license from the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners,required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate (American Heart Association),requiredmust maintain current certification and recertify prior to expiration date.
