Production Associate, Sheet Metal Assembly

We are seeking full-time Production Associates for our Sheet Metal Assembly Department. Associates in these positions utilize a variety of hand tools and related equipment to assemble raw and semi-finished material into finished Metro product. Job duties vary within the Assembly Department and are interchangeable. Associates are required to have the ability to perform all job duties within the department to support various functions. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality. Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a 50-working day probationary period. Job opportunities currently available include first, second and third shift positions. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles consequently shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift. Job Responsibilities Assembles various components of Metro product to manufacture customized finished product. Reads and interprets orders to ensure the finished product meets customer orders. Uses computer to research product specifications. Check parts dimensions using a variety of measuring equipment. Must have basic math skills. Meet production and quality standards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a team environment Cleans and maintains work area. Must be available to work overtime as business needs dictate Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Maintains regular attendance Experience working in a team-based environment Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in sheet metal assembly. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment Previous experience working with hand tools Additional Information Employee benefits and additional rate increases are available after successful completion of the screening process and 50 working day probationary period.
