Astound Broadband Executive Assistant in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

*Astound Broadband powered by RCN is currently searching for an Executive Administrative Assistant for our Wilkes-Barre, PA office.  The successful candidate will be a highly energized and motivated individual who is able to handle multiple tasks and is detailed orientated. This position is responsible for performing administrative tasks associated with supporting the Customer Care organization's corporate leadership team and reports directly to the Sr. Vice President.  *

The primary position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for and has oversight of multiple operational projects and also provides office and administrative support functions. 
  • Develops PowerPoint presentations and financial spreadsheets.
  • Plans quarterly and annual employee meetings, special trainings and events
  • Plans catering services as requested.
  • Makes travel arrangements for Care leadership team members.
  • Establishes relationships with hotels/car rental agencies and negotiates favorable rates/terms.
  • Manages direct billing accounts/vendors --purchase order requisitions for office supplies including FedEx, Konica Minolta.
  • Handles Pinnacle security system for all employee badges and reporting.
  • Develops and maintains business relationships with senior staff in support of the Care objectives.
  • Regularly obtains and assembles data from various formats and sources for standard and ad-hoc reports/calendars.
  • Codes invoices and input expense reports via ReQlogic with proper GL strings.
  • Manages a range of discreet/confidential issues with confidence and security.
  • Assists with ad-hoc departmental projects/needs.
  • Perform special assignments such as researching information and compiling reports.
  • Coordinates MVP Quarterly Awards Program and Annual Employee Anniversary Program.
  • Assists with special projects. 

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school or GED equivalency required -- college degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of applicable experience supporting senior level executives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and operate with a high sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Independent judgment and initiative on assignments that are time sensitive and confidential in nature.
  • Significant proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Applications (sheets, Gmail, Shared Drives, etc.)
  • Results oriented achiever, flexible team player who sets priorities and adapts to changing conditions.
  • Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
  • Stamina, passion, drive and perseverance to handle pressure well.
  • Ability to stay focused and remain composed during peak periods and when dealing with challenging situations.

This position requires the individual to be diplomatic, discreet, customer service minded with excellent follow through and overall professional approach.

This position will allow the employee to work from the office or on a hybrid schedule.  If hybrid, it will require working in the office a minimum of 3 days and up to 2 days remotely.
