Job Overview:

As an AVEVA P&ID/Diagram Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining AVEVA Engineering software. Your tasks will include configuring, customizing, optimizing, and supporting AVEVA Engineering environment to guarantee a smooth and efficient project execution.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • AVEVA Diagrams Administration including creating symbology, filters, reports, system maintenance, etc.

  • Setup AVEVA Diagram projects on servers and deploy for end-users using AVEVA Administration module

  • Maintain the AVEVA Diagrams databases for projects including transfers, reports, MTO downloads, data integrity, etc. including the customization of reports as per project requirements

  • Monitor and maintain Diagrams databases (and Visio Files) in AVEVA Global Environment for multi-location executions

  • Work with other AVEVA admins (E3D, Engineering) to establish a Unified engineering environment

  • Support with technical requirements gathering and client meetings and implementing new AVEVA Diagrams deployments.

  • Produce setup documentation detailing the setup, User Work Instructions for best practices

  • Trouble-shoot and solve P&ID problems to ensure data & project integrity

  • Develop detailed project work instructions for users

  • Follow department and client drafting methods and standards

  • Create auditing requirements and checking for quality assurance of the design effort

  • Upgrade old projects to newer version

  • Conversion of drawings from different tools to AVEVA Diagram

  • Maintain and verify daily backup routines

  • Help develop automation enhancements

  • Design accurate system drawings, in a given time period, adjusting to project requirements

  • Has the ability to effectively conduct user training & best practice sessions to users

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent technical diploma

  • Strong understanding of current Engineering and design

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Engineering software Administration of which 2 years shall be in the use of AVEVA Diagram.

  • Utilizes current systems technology, tools and processes to achieve these aims.

  • Good understanding of engineering practices & project execution concepts.

  • Certified AVEVA Diagram Administrator is preferred

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Strong understanding of current engineering design, drafting applications and engineering data integration software packages

  • Experience in AVEVA Diagram Administration. Utilizes current systems technology, tools and processes to achieve these aims. Good understanding of engineering practices & project execution concepts

  • Strong aptitude for project planning and implementation of new design software

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must have to effectively work with the engineering disciplines. This position requires strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support

  • Knowledge of PML Programming and DABACON queries will be considered as an asset

  • Knowledge of Server-side deployment will be considered as an asset

  • Other AVEVA Applications experience will be considered as asset. Smart Plant P&ID exposure is also considered as asset
