Responsibilities

Supply Chain Professional Overview

Spirit AeroSystems’ Supply Chain Management Organization is responsible for the procurement of all materials and services. The company has contracts and agreements in place with top-tier suppliers across the globe. A Supply Chain Professional at Spirit is responsible for the procurement of key components that feed the Spirit assembly lines. Procurement Agents have responsibility for various pieces of the purchased component life cycle including requirement identification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/ delivery to the assembly line. Our teams ensure we have the right part, at the right place, at the right time.

Responsibilites

  • Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company.

  • Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered, to the right place, at the right time.

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.

  • Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.

  • Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.

  • Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry

  • Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred

  • Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent Data analysis skills a plus

  • Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus

  • High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study preferred. An MBA is a plus.
