Job Focus: Inspection of Aviation Parts

Experience: 1 yr of Inspection

Education: High School diploma or GED

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Works from blue prints, interprets engineering requirements and Configuration verifications.

II. Knowledgeable of specification, Quality procedures and F/T requirements appropriate to the area of assignment.

III. Inspects parts and ensures acceptable appearance, function, tolerances, dimensions and specifications.

IV. Completes and maintains a variety of inspection paperwork.

V. Able to interpret and conform new model engineering change with feedback to Engineering.

VI. Proficient in business applications as required for the area of work assigned.

VII. Communicates with the FAA or other external auditors and customers.

VIII. Possess certification/qualifications appropriate to assigned area.

EDUCATION & SKILLS:

Requires high school education and the use of drawings, specifications, basic math and technical knowledge.

EXPERIENCE:

6-9 months relevant experience. Possesses a solid grasp of the technical skills necessary to perform the job and be willing to work in all areas of support.

Shift?: Second Shift Position

• In your own words, what does this role do (SUMMARIZE)?

Inspect parts to blueprint configuration, Detail level inspection to make sure detailed parts are made to engineering requirements by referencing engineering drawings/blueprints and planning.

• What does a typical day look like?

Desk will be provided for computer and inspections, and work will be provided on racks located in the inspection area.

• What is the work environment like (Culture, team size, facility, dress)?

Factory environment with casual dress code. Current team size includes approximately 16 employees on 1st shift and approximately 2 employees on 2nd shift.

• What are the top essential “must haves” on a resume for this role?

Inspection experience

  • Blueprint reading experience

  • Specification reading/interpretation

  • Basic computer skills

  • Able to work Overtime as needed either Saturday or 1-3 hrs extra per day.
