Overview

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.

  • Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and coordinates contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.

  • Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one supplier management and procurement job family applying independent expertise to support a wide range of business objectives

  • Acts as supply chain focal for an Integrated Product team

  • Monitors inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning.

  • Activities include, but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes

  • Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers, suppliers and employee across all levels to carry out responsibilities

  • Applies process management and improvement techniques

  • Uses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions to problems

  • Facilitates work teams and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers and suppliers with regard to project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement

  • The role demands a focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment

  • Candidates must also display strong judgment, leadership, and integrity

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and departments in a diverse environment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry

  • Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred

  • Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent Data analysis skills a plus

  • Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus

  • High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change

  • High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study preferred. An MBA is a plus.
