Summary: Performs Preventive Maintenance on Production Equipment and Assists Skilled Maintenance staff in all facets of general maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Performs preventive maintenance procedures according to preventive maintenance program on all production and plant equipment as assigned.

· Completes PM documentation and enters information in computer for PM program and/or Work Orders.

· Reports issues for equipment that is outside skill level or training and/or scheduled downtime does not permit repair.

· Has the ability to understand, learn and implement correct lubrication processes.

· Has the ability to determine and apply the right lubricants for equipment.

· Make necessary repairs on production equipment & systems, machine tools and conveyors.

· Tear down and overhaul equipment components such as, but not limited to production screw guns, air drills, pumps, valves, regulators, and motors

· Works as directed by and to assist higher graded workers by performing general tasks as requested or assigned.

· Will perform assignments related to specific Maintenance Department jobs of greater complexity.

· Must keep workstation clean and orderly.

· Observe all safety rules

· Support team objectives

· Other duties as assigned

· Must have a strong understanding of mechanical components and how they work in conjunction with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

· Must be flexible in working different shifts and be able to work a weekend schedule.

· Completes required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous plumbing and mechanical background is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions presented in English.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
