Responsibilities

This opening is an Apprenticeship position to the job as described below:

Investigate and correct electrical, electronic and fiber optic malfunctions on such systems which include but are not limited to; thermal process equipment, networked computer systems, computer, numerical and/or electronic controlled machines and associated PLCs, part marking machines, welders, master paging systems, phone systems, master time clock systems, FCC radios, data and video communication systems, associated lighting controls, power conditioning and backup systems that are in support of server rooms. Perform initial checkout of company assets that have been installed, repaired, relocated or rebuilt to ensure proper functioning of the control systems.

Successful completion of the aptitude test will qualify the applicant to be scheduled for an in person interview.

Qualifications

Must have valid driver’s license.

Must be willing and able to work any shift.

All candidates must pass the Work Keys Assessment (www.workkeys.com) or provide a verification that they have passed the Work Keys Assessment. Delay in completing your Work Keys Assessment will result in a delay in your start date. You may complete your assessment in advance of an interview.

Successful candidate will enter a four (4) year program with the Spirit AeroSystems Company. This program will include both on the job training at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. as well as full participation in a formal schooling program of Spirit’s choice. Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship program the candidate will qualify to be a W01 Maintenance Electrician.
