Spirit AeroSystems Functional Analyst in Wichita, Kansas

Overview

Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. With headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates sites in the U.S., U.K., France and Malaysia. The company's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components for the world's premier aircraft. Spirit AeroSystems focuses on affordable, innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions to support customers around the globe.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze business processes and recommends improvements aligned with best practices with the assigned functional modules.

  • Develops, designs, and integrates computer systems specifications SAP FI/CO solutions that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards.

  • Establishes and documents SAP Configuration changes, and functional specifications for development changes.

  • Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and develop more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

  • Analyzes technical requirements to formulate and develop new and modified information processing solutions.

  • Gathers master data requirements and strategies to support SAP.

  • Work closely with Process Owners to transform business requirements into technical requirements.

  • Create complete documentation for all changes, enhancement, and test documents.

  • Work closely with other team members and SAP Security Team to establish proper controls.

  • Assists in environment rebuilds and refreshes.

  • Manage system testing to ensure procedures are thoroughly tested before release.

  • Collaborate in planning, design, development and deployment of new applications.

  • Stay informed of advances and pertinent changes in software technologies that may translate into process improvements

  • Must be able to support rotating (rotation with other team members) 24x7 on-call availability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 3-6 years of experience

  • This role requires US Citizenship

  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

  • Successful candidates must be able to secure Program access approval

  • Proficient in use and configuration of SAP

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment

  • Working knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards

  • Advanced thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Candidate must be a resident of or willing to relocate to the Wichita, KS area
