Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • This position will conduct short and long range facility space and master planning, work flow analysis, space and facility usage while managing technical specifications and designing plans for capital projects.

  • Responsibilities include: review of design plans and specifications for functionality, attainment of facility planning needs and technical specifications and design efficiency.

  • Position will work with functional organizations to create a formal facility planning statement to meet the needs of a proposed facility and develop projected cost estimates based on construction/cost templates, conduct planning meetings, and resolve disputes between departments involved in space planning and new construction and renovation planning.

  • Work includes ability to translate conceptual ideas to specific facility planning, project design and space layout, development and management of capital improvement estimates with a strong emphasis on Project Management.

  • Ability to understand and analyze projects and communicate in written, verbal and graphic representations to all functional disciplines including presenting projects to advisory committees and leadership.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline

  • 5 to 9 years’ experience; or equivalent education and experience.

    Preferred :

  • Microsoft Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Project

  • AutoCAD / MAXIMO (CMMS)

  • LEAN / Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma

  • Large Industrial Manufacturing – i.e. Metal and Composite Fabrication, Sub-Assembly and Assembly Operations
