Engineering Operations Technician Level 1 B Shift - Monday thru Thursday 10pm - 8:30 am

POSITION SUMMARY (Briefly describe the purpose of the position)

During each production shift, apply the principles and theories of electronics to setup, analyze and solve technical testing problems with semiconductor components and related automated or bench test equipment. Perform debug of complex device and tester interactions and resolve real-time electronic component product test problems. Work closely with the Operations Team to assist Operators with achieving optimal test throughput through improved hardware adjustments and/or ergonomics. As time allows verify failing components in real-time on the production floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (List in order of

importance)

? Contribute to the success of Production Lines by ensuring that production line changeovers are done in an expedient manner, and that they test products that meet and exceed the end customer expectations.

? Complete the initial set up of the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) including meters, load boards, cables, and other various equipment necessary to run production test.

? Work closely with the Operations Maintenance Team to ensure that all testers are within calibration and operating correctly for production.

? Identify potential ATE pre-setup issues and proactively drive resolution in advance of production needs.

? Assemble and install the electrical and electronic systems according to provided engineering data.

? Troubleshoot and identify root cause for electrical issues with harnesses, cables, and assemblies to determine corrective actions.

? Confer with engineers, technicians, and production personnel regarding test results and problem resolution.

? Prepare technical reports that summarize findings with recommendations for potential technical solutions.

? Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE (List as required or preferred)

Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) preferred; however, a combination of education and experience wherein the skills and abilities

to perform the responsibilities and functions have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.

Experience: Up to 3 years of experience working in a production environment preferred.

Must demonstrate a commitment to service, organizational values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times as well as the ability to foster a collaborative working environment. Possess a basic understanding of analog and digital circuitry, thermal control systems, and electrical schematics.

Have the ability to operate a variety of bench test equipment including thermal meters, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes.

Experience in anticipating and resolving complex, non-routine problems.

Ability to solve problems by collecting and evaluating data, reaching valid conclusions and driving corrective actions.

Effectively interface with employees and management team.

Utilize effective communication skills to achieve required results.

Effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and other computer products and programs.
