Position Description

As a valuable member of our team as a carpenter trainee, your learning begins with working alongside experienced carpenters who will guide you on your career path to becoming a well-rounded carpenter. Youll complete a wide range of tasks to include building, erecting, installing, and repairing forms, structures, and other fixtures.

Position Requirements Essential Functions:

  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Set form-work for walls
  • Paving and suspended deck
  • Metal stud wall framing
  • Assembly and installation of rough framing
  • Hang drywall
  • Set windows, doors, frames and hardware
  • Install trim and casing
  • Install wood blocking, fiber reinforced panels, toilet partitions and accessories

Requirements:

To succeed as a carpenter, an individual must be able to take direction and work with others as a team; follow company safety policies and participate in safety training programs; perform tasks using methods and procedures based upon skill level; and demonstrate the ability to maintain and operate tools and equipment such as circular saws, table saws, jig saws, reciprocating saws, routers, nail guns, power actuated guns, hammer drills, and drills.

  • Standing and walking for long periods
  • Lifting in excess of 40 lbs
  • Working inside and outside in all weather and temperature conditions
  • Varying noise levels that require ear protection
