James Lane Air Conditioning Co., LLC, a Fidelity Company in Wichita Falls, TX, isseeking candidates to join our team! James Lane seeks a qualified individual as aFire Protection Technician IIIto join our Fire Protection Department located within Wichita Falls, Texas.

AFire Protection Technician IIIis responsible for performing repairs to deficient systems and providing preventative maintenance. Fire Sprinkler Technician II completes testing and inspection of fire sprinklers, per all applicable codes.

An ideal candidate will have experience working with fire sprinklers, alarms, and/or life safety, efficiently use tools as required, and quickly troubleshoot problems. He or she will be able to prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and maintain a high level of customer service, responsiveness, and professional business acumen.

Primary Duties:

  • Consult blueprints to install fire systems.
  • Repair sprinkler systems in accordance with work orders.
  • Inspections of fire alarms and sprinkler systems.
  • Cut, thread, and install black pipe.
  • Provide information required by managers to keep jobs organized, and customers informed of progress.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years or more of fire sprinkler, alarm, and/or life safety experience is required.
  • Ability to safely use sprinkler pipe threader, backflow tester, pipe wrench, various lifts, and tools necessary for job completion.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignments.
  • Always maintain a professional attitude and manage competing demands with frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • NICET, RME-1 License, and/or backflow certifications are preferred.
