Description

Provide maintenance and repair to fleet vehicles and locomotive servicing assistance as needed.

  • Capable of in depth-troubleshooting of vehicle issues, diagnosis and repair.

  • Capable of creating and maintaining a fleet vehicle maintenance log to track preventive maintenance and repair.

  • Capable of following directions and interacting in a demanding environment

  • Capable of developing a working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles.

  • Work independently or as part of a team.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

  • Operates truck cranes, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting tools as needed to complete work.

  • Ability to pass training and required testing.

  • Ability to learn from directions, observations, and mistakes.

  • Must be available to work overtime as required as well as be prepared to work in all types of weather.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, schematics, maintenance manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Machines, Tools, Special Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment Used

  • PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, splash goggles, face shield, Reflective clothing, gloves, steel toed metatarsal boots Other PPE as required.

  • Mechanical hand tool associated with job duties. Impact, wrenches hose machine. Sets up and operates grinders and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

    Requirements

  • All Team Members working in the Facility must have a valid Driver’s License.
