At Advocates' Family Continuity Clinics, the Outpatient Clinician will provide comprehensive outpatient mental health and substance use Assessment and treatment to children, adults and families

Minimum Education Required

Master's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clinical care and conducting psychotherapy with individuals and families with varying developmental stages, inclusive of all ethnic backgrounds, religions, sexual orientation, genders, and ages.

  • Provide ongoing assessment of individual’s mental health status and risk factors.

  • Assist in formalizing treatment/rehabilitation goals for individuals and families.

  • Develop solution-focused, strength-based treatment goals with individuals and families.

  • Advocate for individuals and families in the community when clinically indicated or as determined by service needs.

  • Ensure youth and family voice and choice is implemented in service delivery.

  • Create safety plans with individuals and families and arrange and coordinate staff assistance when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, or related license eligible field from an accredited university.

  • Strong computer knowledge. Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services.

  • Must be able to read and speak English.

  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.

  • Excellent written skills and ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the program/programs to which assigned.

  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
